Lawson Road Surgery are looking for a Medical secretary to join our Team. the job involves:

- Typing letters, reports and associated documentation as required by the GP's and management team
- Liaising with external agencies such as hospitals and community services, ensuring referrals are processed efficiently
- Maintaining an accurate referrals database
- Processing letters as requested
- Processing referrals using the electronic referral system (ERS)
- Processing requests for information i.e., SAR, insurance/solicitors' letters and DVLA to the administrators
- Process personal, telephone and e-requests for appointments
- Answer incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the callers request appropriately
- Signpost patients to the correct service
- Initiating contact with and responding to, requests from patients, team members and external agencies
- Clinically code data on the clinical system
- Photocopy documentation as required
- Input data into patients' healthcare records as necessary
- Manage all queries as necessary in an efficient manner
- Support all clinical staff with general tasks as requested
- Partake in audit as directed by the practice manager when required
- Scan patient related documentation and attach scanned documents to patients' healthcare records
- Partake in mandatory eLearning and face to face training

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 10 per week

Pay: £10.54 per hour
