An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Deputy University Secretary to join the Vice-Chancellor's Office to lead the Governance, Legal and Assurance functions of the University.

Key duties of the role include leading on all legal matters and raising internal capacity, ensuring that the University has robust systems in place to ensure appropriate compliance and assurance is in place, leading and developing our recently expanded Governance team and leading and developing a team of managers responsible for core University functions.

You will have a strong and proven track record of top level operational leadership and results delivery, the ability to explain complex regulatory and legal concepts, a commitment to the University's ambitions and values and the ability to command respect at all levels of the University. Ideally you will have a legal qualification or demonstrable experience in a significant legal role.
