**What are we looking for**

The team in our Danish Crown site in Bugle (Cornwall) have a new exciting role being advertised for a person who has a real attention to detail and loves working as part of a wider team. **Working times**

Week 1 Mon -Fri 05.30-14.30 with two 30 minutes breaks

Week 2 Sun-Thurs 13.30-22.30 with two 30 minutes breaks

**Area of responsibility**

Making sure all stocks throughout the factory are accurate on all systems that are used.

Ensuring the delivery of plans, customer requirements and outloads are met.

To ensure that the stock and stock movements are controlled throughout the Factory. Ensure product retains traceability through process and aid in customer traceability requirements

**Specific tasks**
- Ensure all staff wearing correct PPE including ear protection, clothing, cutting gloves and shoes.
- Ensure all staff always comply with the food and hygiene requirements.
- Ensure staff always operate within the company health and safety standards and that workstations are always kept clean and tidy.
- Report any hazards or machine problems immediately to your pl and support resolution as needed.
- Ensure good standards of general manufacturing practice and that the factory is always audit ready.
- Continuously review and identify ways to improve efficiency, yields, reduce labour costs and waste, whilst maintaining technical standards and product quality.
- Lead effective 2-way communication with all teams to ensure all staff are kept informed of business, departmental and team issues to help support an engaged and motivated workforce.
- Provide training and coaching for your team and liaise with production trainer to ensure that all staff have an appropriate training plan and receive the required training to perform their work effectively, efficiently, and safely.
- Act as a role model and lead by example demonstrating core company values, behaviours, and high-performance standards at all times.
- Contribute and complete all training courses that are provided.
- Provide cover for other team members as required.
- Complete and send residual report to all relevant teams.
- Age issues to be reviewed. Any issues to be communicated out to all.
- Raise any potential threats or shortages in the daily 07:30/13:30 meetings.
- Chiller reconciliations to be completed daily.
- Processing requirement reviewed, updated, and sent out.
- Pull together and send all weekly corrections for PDB and SAP.
- Contribute to departmental and site improvement projects when required.
- Monitoring yields and communicating with relevant departments.
- Daily planning reports sent out to all.

Assist with Yearly/Monthly/Weekly and Daily stock take of Raw Material, completing full stock take of the factory and update stock system following the count

**Relevant experience and skills**
- Knowledge of supply chain - including requirements and expectations from intake through to processing, packing, despatch and the end customer.
- Experience working in factory/production environment.
- Leadership and communication skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of factors which effect efficiency e.g., yields, labour costs, waste.
- Knowledge of PDB & P1400 system and SAP.
- Knowledge and understanding of meat industry.
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver to deadlines.
- Attention to detail and accuracy with paperwork and tasks.
- Ability to prioritise workload effectively.

**Educational background**
- English/numeracy to level 2 or above.
- Food safety level 3
- HACCP level 2
- IOSH - managing safety
- Environmental awareness
- Dignity at work for managers

- Lean management
