**The Role**

To ensure that the company's stock is effectively managed to meet operational needs and financial goals.

**Head Office Location - AL4 0PG**

**Working hours - Monday - Friday = 40 hours per week (office based only).**

**Key Accountabilities**
- Ensure that group stock levels are maintained at optimal levels to meet demand while avoiding overstock or stockout and allowing for seasonal trends.
- Key role in pre-season purchasing, supplier stock allocation/forward order scheduling, and pre-increase purchasing.
- Analyse data to identify trends, patterns, and potential issues, making data-driven decisions for stock management to forecast future demand and adjust stock levels accordingly.
- Work closely with the branch network to order and replenish stock as needed.
- Generate reports and provide regular updates to management regarding stock levels, performance, and cost management.
- Assist in maintenance of local branch stock files.

- Previous experience working in a stock control department or similar position

- Good interpersonal skills, confident and able to approach customers
- Excellent communicating, influencing and negotiating skills. Both oral and written
- The ability to prioritise responsibilities under pressure and be self-motivated
