We are seeking to recruit an experienced, hardworking and enthusiastic Facilities Co-Ordinator who will ensure compliance with all Health and Safety matters in the school relating to the building, grounds, resources and equipment. In Liaison with Betterclean, to oversee the contracted site cleaning team, ensuring the maintenance of high levels of cleaning standards across the school site.

**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Post Title: Facilities Coordinator Marshfield Primary School**

**Salary: Band 7, Points 11 - 17**

**Hours weekly: 37 Hours per week, All Year Round**

**Responsible to: Head of School / Grounds and Maintenance Officer / COO**

**Liaising with: SLT, All Staff Members**

**Principal Accountability**:
In conjunction with the Grounds and Maintenance Officer / COO, ensure compliance with all Health and Safety matters in the school relating to the building, grounds, resources and equipment. In Liaison with Betterclean, to oversee the contracted site cleaning team, ensuring the maintenance of high levels of cleaning standards across the school site.

**Main Activities and Responsibilities**:
MAIN TASKS:

- To be the Primary focal point at school for Health and Safety Matters.
- Complete and document weekly Statutory Compliance checks (Emergency Lights, Fire Alarm, Legionella etc.).
- Update and maintain accurate records in relation to Health and Safety Equipment (Ladders etc.) and COSHH.
- Undertake basic repairs and handy person tasks, as required within the school.
- Oversee and arrange the attendance and management of Contractors at school, to maintain ongoing compliance.
- Ensure all building assets and equipment are maintained in a suitable condition for all staff and pupils.
- Open and unlock the school site daily. There may be occasions where you may be required to Lock up the school (as agreed in advance).
- In liaison with Betterclean, have oversight of the site cleaning team, ensuring that an efficient program of cleaning is implemented and the cleanliness and safety of the school is maintained. (There may also be a requirement to backfill and support the cleaning team during any periods of absence).
- To manage the provision of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to relevant staff.
- To manage and coordinate all staff room and office moves.
- In conjunction with the Head of School, ensure that there is a termly fire evacuation, maintaining records of all such evacuations which include any issues which arose, and all remedial actions taken.
- To regularly inspect the building and grounds and ensure any issues are logged and actioned. Maintain the overall cleanliness of the site, both internally and externally by undertaking routine daily litter picks
