Davies Group are currently seeking a professional individual to join their team to manage a portfolio of investigation insurance cases from various instructing Principals (covering Domestic and Commercial Property, Motor, Casualty and Niche Products). Within this role, you will cover Midlands and South of England.

Working in partnership with the instructing client, you will undertake thorough and focused enquiries, report upon the outcome of the investigation and make informed and evidence-based recommendations on policy action. Where required, you will also deal with settlement negotiations on claims established to be valid. Cases where fraud is established may involve liaising with the police to secure a prosecution.

**Duties and responsibilities**:

- Undertake a range of investigations in an ethical & professional manner, employing best practice & key investigative competencies, which comprise:

- Technical Knowledge
- Investigative Planning & Preparation
- Interviewing & Statement Taking
- Evidence Identification, Gathering, Analysis & Presentation
- Reporting & Correspondence Proficiency
- Investigate and validate claims within the agreed structured process, working in tandem, where appropriate with the appointed Davies Adjuster. Ensure hand-off and hand-backs between DSI and other parts of Davies Group are conducted professionally, seamlessly and within a reasonable timeframe.
- Support and assist in the development of DSI staff (e.g., Assistant Investigators, Conversation Management Handlers)
- Adhere to client specific service standards and ensure investigations are conducted within the Company’s guidelines, procedures & protocols.
- Establish and maintain contact with other external investigative bodies and agencies, as approved by DSI management.
- Generate optimal revenue for the company by ensuring true & accurate time recording and strict adherence to fee rates.
- Be accountable for achieving Key Performance Indicators, as determined by DSI management.
- To ensure own technical and professional development progress is in accordance with agreed Personal Development Plans (PDP).
- Promote and maintain the profile of DSI within the Company and throughout the marketplace generally.
- Perform any other appropriate duties, as & when reasonably requested by DSI Management.

All Staff are expected to carry out any reasonable instruction given by their senior manager, in line with business requirements.

**Skills & Experience**:

- Previous investigative experience essential and a counter - fraud qualification would be advantageous
- First class communication skills
- Team Player
- A high level of self motivation and personal accountability
- Business awareness in a commercial environment
- Demonstrate a structured approach and effective time management skills including the ability to juggle competing priorities to meet deadlines
- Ability to work with the minimum of supervision
- High levels of IT literacy; proficient with Excel and Word
- 5 Grade A-C’s GCSE’s or equivalent including Maths and English
- Working knowledge of civil & statutory law in the area of investigations
- Working knowledge of evaluating and handling “intelligence”
- Capable of handling sensitive and confidential material
- Willing to commit to professional study
- High ethical and professional standards
- Ability to take a neutral judgment
- Clean driving licence

**Salary**: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
