**Job purpose**:
To work as part of the Davies Special Investigations team

The role will involve undertaking desktop investigative interviews using cognitive interviewing techniques, across multiple product lines

**Duties and responsibilities**:
Undertake investigative telephone interviews and desk based investigations on claims

Gather information and evidence to provide an informed decision on liability

Validate genuine claims, repudiate claims which are not covered and escalate claims which require further investigation

Provide reports for insurers including recommendations and advice
- To ensure that all DSI diaries, files and correspondence are maintained in line with company standards and procedures and provide a clear and concise history of events, action and quantum assessment
- Adhere to client specific service standards and ensure DSI’s investigations are conducted within the Company’s guidelines, procedures & protocols
- Assist in the generation of optimal revenue for the company by ensuring true & accurate time recording and strict adherence to fee rates
- To arrange settlement of validated claims where required

Be accountable for achieving Key Performance Indicators and SLAs

Promote & maintain the profile of fraud management within the Company
- To provide support to colleagues within Davies Group in regard to fraud detection
- To ensure own technical and professional development progress is in accordance with agreed Personal Development Plans (PDP).
- Promote & maintain the profile of DSI within the Company and throughout the market place generally

All Staff are expected to carry out any reasonable instruction given by their senior manager, in line with business requirements

**Skills & Experience**

This position would suit someone with property/commercial claims handling experience. Previous investigative experience would be an advantage but not essential. A keen interest in detecting fraud and an inquisitive mindset required.

- Demonstrate a structured approach and effective time management skills including the ability to juggle competing priorities to meet deadlines

- Working knowledge of evaluating and handling “intelligence”
- Capable of handling sensitive and confidential material
- High degree of organisational skill in terms of prioritising and managing work loads
- 5 Grade A-C’s GCSE’s or equivalent including Maths and English
- Good and accurate computer keyboard skills; proficient in Excel and Word
- Verbal and written communication to an exceptional standard
- High ethical and professional standards
- Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment
- Flexibility around extended hours at busy periods
- Flexible and committed to a career as well as willingness to pursue professional study

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £23,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
