We are currently looking to recruit an excellent and experienced hands-on
**Food Services Coordinator **to join our team at
**North Devon Hospital **and support the delivery of the Retail and Patient Dining Services.

As Food Services Coordinator, your focus will be supporting the Food Operations Manager in the delivery of Food services throughout North Devon Hospital. You will ensure the standard of food throughout the services is achieving patient, staff, visitor and client expectations. You will thrive at building and maintaining a strong working relationship with the client and their operational teams throughout the trust.

**Main Responsibilities**
**What you’ll do**:

- Work collectively with site management team to deliver budgeted profit and turnover
- Support with the compliance of the catering team with all company and trust policies and procedures
- Ensure achievement of high levels of client and service user satisfaction and monitor these on regular basis.
- Support and coordinate the recruitment and management of the Sodexo Catering Team.
- To support with the managing of catering team in line with the appropriate policies in relation to issues
- Ensure that there is effective two-way communication to all levels of staff within area
- Ensure that health and safety standards are understood and delivered across all of catering operations
- Contract compliance within the food services and working collaboratively with the Food Operations Manager
- Accountability for escalating potential risks identified as appropriate
- To ensure the production of food for both retail and patient dining service is to a high quality.
- Champion initiatives within the catering team such as food waste reduction.
- Participate in the on-call management team rota

**What you bring**:
**Essential**
- Managing Food Safety and Hygiene qualification or equivalent.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in the management of Catering Services
- Passion, Drive, and eye for detail in delivering food operations.
- Results focused; gets on with the job and likes to work to demanding goals and targets.
- A confident and adept communicator, with the ability to operate effectively at all levels.
- Strong operational background in the support services, facilities management, leisure, retail sectors, (or related), ideally with exposure to the healthcare market.
- An aspiring Leader
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel and general IT systems
- Willingness to get involved and offer a flexible approach to working

**Desirable**
- Management Experience
- Experience in Contract catering preferred but not essential
