Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Catering Assistant to join our team at Holroyd Howe, a leading contract caterer providing fresh and innovative food services to independent schools and colleges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and serving of breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner according to established menus and recipes.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of front-of-house areas, including organizing dishes and utensils.
  • Follow proper food handling and storage procedures to ensure food safety and prevent contamination.
  • Monitor inventory levels of food and supplies and notify management of any shortages or discrepancies.
  • Provide friendly and efficient service to students and staff during mealtimes, addressing any concerns or special dietary needs.
  • Participate in training sessions and meetings related to food service procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards.

Requirements

  • Experience working in education catering is highly desirable.
  • Good health and safety knowledge is essential.
  • Flexible with a can-do attitude, customer-focused, and fun and enthusiastic.
