**Role of HR Assistant**:
To help provide an effective HR service to the business, focussed around providing managers with fit for purpose advice and efficiently dealing with each stage of the recruitment and on-boarding process, as well as working on HR procedures and projects, and providing first class administrative duties. In addition to this, maintaining excellent standards in all aspects of work and conducting all tasks in confidence and with respect and integrity.

**Responsibilities of HR Assistant**:

- Providing a professional first line HR support service in line with the business plan and overall strategy.
- Supporting managers and employees with general day-to-day HR issues, including, but not limited to, employment queries, HR policies and practices, grievance and discipline support and advice.
- Recruitment activity from advertising, selecting (assessment centres), to making offers, on-boarding and activity tracking.
- Providing day to day administrative support to the HR Manager across a range of HR Activities.
- Contributing towards and producing reports to benefit the HR function and business of current trends/activities, including the development and production of monthly HR KPI’s.
- Supporting the maintenance of HR policies in line with legal compliance and business changes.
- Assisting in the identification of learning and development opportunities as well as the delivery methods and plans.
- Assisting in the evolution and delivery of learning and development initiatives, which could include running development centres and team building activities.
- Undertake any other duties as may be appropriate and required from time to time.

**Requirements for the role of HR Assistant**:

- Proficient administrative skills with a high attention to detail.
- Knowledge of HR policies and procedures or general HR best practice.
- Experience in recruitment and on-boarding.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
- Level 3 CIPD Qualified (Desirable but not essential if qualified by experience at that level).
- Experience in dealing with confidential work.
