We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to support specific pupils with individual needs in our Junior School. The role will be 35 hours per week, term time only, and is dependent on external funding.

In this role, you will support specific pupils with individual needs in our Junior School.

We are looking for a team player to join CHS, and the following qualifications, skills and experience would be advantageous.

Qualifications:
Completed 'Making Sense of Autism' Module 1

**Experience**:
Previous experience of working in a similar role
Knowledge of the Primary Curriculum
Experience of supporting children who are Autistic and/or have difficulties with speech, language and communication

**Skills**:Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent listening skills and the ability to empathise with pupils
Strong prioritisation skills and the ability to organise time well
Ability to use initiative and be proactive
Effective classroom behaviour management and patience
Excellent team working skills
Confident in supporting digital learning, and assistive technology.

Located ten miles south of Manchester, Cheadle Hulme School is set in 83 acres of countryside with fine historical Victorian buildings. Our campus includes first class facilities, which have benefited from significant investment in recent years, including a new fitness centre, a refurbishment of the School’s principal performance space, the development of a dedicated Sixth Form Building, and a new dining space.

The role attracts a salary of between £20.5k-£30k FTE, dependent on experience, which will be pro-rated (between £15.5k-£22.5k).
