Rare Diabetes Nursing Support Administrator

To provide a comprehensive administrative and secretarial service to the Diabetes MDT. Working especially closely with the CEW and Diabetes Administrator to support all aspects of their role.
- Assist in the oversight of all outpatient activity, booking appointments when required and sending out appointment letters and setting up referrals. Cashing up clinics and maintaining waiting lists when required
- Help to ensure the Consultants are organised effectively and efficiently so that they are able to operate all their clinical and non-clinical commitments.
- Actions resulting from each patient episode are planned and followed up within agreed timescales.
- Completed investigations are available to each consultant and the appropriate healthcare team, when required.
- Patient admission episodes are planned and organised effectively and efficiently, in accordance with Consultant requirements and Trust policies.
- The Trust is able to accurately review and report compliance with relevant NHS guidelines and targets with regard to waiting times and patient activity.
- Complete monthly DNA report.
- Provide admin support where necessary to wider MDT.
- Maintain medical records systems by filing and keeping an accurate record of the movement of medical records and the case note tracking system on IFIT. Tracking notes to relevant areas /s on the Lorenzo system and putting patient data, clinics and outcomes on the system
