Scannappeal is a registered charity that raises funds to provide state of the art medical equipment for Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS hospitals. The equipment funded allows a step change in an existing service or allows a new service to be introduced within our local hospitals and community health services. Statistics show that 1 in 4 of the local population has benefited from Scannappeal funded equipment, which can now be found in every major department. This is a great time to join our team as we head into 2024 with a wish to further grow and develop our fundraising income.

**Job Overview**

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Fundraiser to join our small but mighty team. As Events and Community Fundraiser, you will play a crucial role in helping us raise funds for our Scannappeal. You will be responsible for a portfolio of events, fundriasing campaigns and community engagement to raise awarness of Scannappeal and to build and maintain relationships with donors and supporters.

**Duties**
- To implement and manage a range of fundraising events from concept through to delivery.
- To raise awareness of Scannappeal in the community by building and managing relationships with existing supporters including third party event organisers, event participants, individuals, schools, and community organisations.
- Provide first class stewardship to supporters, ensuring they have an exceptional experience and therefore develop into long term supporters of Scannappeal.
- Respond to donor enquiries and provide personalised information on the work of Scannappeal.
- Promote events and campaigns to new and existing supporters.
- Represent Scannappeal at events including delivering fundraising presentations to groups and organisations.
- Contribute to the strategic and budget planning of the annual events and community programme.

**Skills**
- Experience of working in fundraising or events role.
- Experience in researching, developing and implementing new initiatives.
- Confident in putting fresh ideas into the mix, with the personal drive to execute them and enthuse others to join you.
- Comfortable at cultivating mutually beneficial relationships with strong networking skills and proven ability to build positive and long-lasting relationships.
- Competent and confident at delivering events on limited budget but with the greatest return.
- Experienced in creating and running fundraising appeals with community groups.
- Motivational and confident communicator, with excellent verbal and written skills.
- Experience of working with databases and standard IT systems, e.g., Microsoft Office.
- Numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Cooperative, proactive, and flexible team player with practical and positive attitude.
- Self-motivated and flexible in day to day approach to work with ability to work without close supervision.
- Enthusiastic to work on a variety of projects, solve problems and take the initiative.
- Have empathy with the aims and objectives of Scannappeal.
- Experience of managing volunteers (desirable).

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year

Expected hours: No less than 21 per week
