To provide a high quality and effective service for all Medical Staff. To provide accurate and timely advice on all recruitment, workforce and ER issues to managers and Medical Employees. To liaise with the Clinical Leads, service managers, and employees to advise on a range of workforce queries to support Medical Staff in delivering excellent patient care.

We are looking for ahighly motivated, organised and enthusiastic individual to join the Medical Workforce department as a Medical HR Advisor.This is an exciting opportunity to broaden and develop your HR career, in recruitment, ER cases and contractual queries.

Critical for this role is a strong eye for detail, enthusiasm, strong IT skills and highly organised approach. Communication is a key part of this role so excellent written and verbal skills will be required.

As an individual, you will be passionate; proactive and eager to deliver outstanding customer service as you will be required to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders of all seniority across the organisation and externally. Medical Workforce is hard work and it takes time to achieve results so resilience, persistence and determination are key.

To give professional Medical Workforce specialist advice and promote fair and open practice across the Trust at an operational level in accordance with policies, local procedures, national guidance, statutory requirements, employment law, recruitment and the Medical Workforce/ HR annual plan.

To provide a consistent Medical Workforce service to ensure the appropriate contractual advice is given to support all Care Groups. This will include supporting, managing and establishing robust policies to assist with job planning, Medical recruitment, locums, contractual advice, managing sickness absence, conduct, capability and disciplinary in line with the Maintaining High Professional Standards policy (MHPS).

In conjunction with the Senior Medical Workforce Adviser prepare contracts for all grades as allocated by the Head of Medical Workforce in a timely manner, in line with national timeframes.

Prepare work schedules for all Junior Medical and Dental Staff starting a new role with the Trust; 12 weeks prior to commencement in line with the 2016 Junior Doctor Contract.

To undertake overseas salary calculations ready for sign off by the Head of Medical Workforce, based on Medical & Dental staff previous equivalent service.

Support with TUPE (Overseen and accountable to Head of Medical Workforce), Lead Unit duties Contractual/ Advisory, Rota Design and Compliance, Medic Online, E-Job Plan, (Junior Doctor Roistering System & Exception Reporting Tool), Amendment/ termination of change process for current employees.
