**About the Role**:
Our client in Chorley is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join their team as aHead of Bids. This is a senior management position responsible for managing all aspects of the bidding process within their organization.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

- Leading and managing the bid team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality bid submissions within required deadlines.
- Developing and implementing effective bid strategies to maximize success rates and win new business opportunities.
- Coordinating with various internal departments, including engineering, procurement, construction, and sales, to gather relevant information and ensure bid compliance.
- Reviewing bid documentation, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with client requirements.
- Identifying and managing key stakeholders, maintaining strong relationships, and communicating bid progress and outcomes.
- Monitoring competitor activity, market trends, and industry developments to inform bid strategies and gain a competitive edge.
- Overseeing the negotiation and finalization of contracts, working closely with legal and finance teams.

**Required Skills and Experience**:

- Strong background in Civil Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Sales.
- Proven track record in bidding for and winning major projects within the engineering sector.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively present complex information.
- Strong leadership abilities, capable of leading and motivating a team.
- Highly analytical with excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools for bid management and documentation.
- Relevant qualifications and certifications in Engineering or related fields.
