**Role Overview**

Our billing agents are key to continuing good business cashflow by ensuring that our customers are invoiced for their bookings quickly and accurately. The team ensure that the properties our customers use have the right payment details sent automatically, and resolve any issues when they don’t, manage the exception queues on our automated billing platform, process the manual invoicing of some transactions for customers and much more. We believe that teamwork is key to this role and that the input and suggestions from the team on how we can continue to improve our processes are important and listened to. The team deal with high volumes of tasks with a high detail of accuracy, so it is important that the processes are closely followed, with a keen eye for detail and to be able to investigate anomalies within the invoices.

**Accountabilities**
- 1. Invoicing and Billing:

- Generate and distribute accurate and timely invoices to customers.
- Verify billing data for completeness and accuracy before issuance.

2. Payment Processing:

- Receive and process payments from customers through various channels

3. Resolving any queries to ensure invoices are raised to the customer as soon as possible. This could involve reviewing bookings, tracking down activity on a booking, discussing with a supplier or a staff member in another department
4. Processing returned Rail tickets to process refunds to customers.
5. Maintenance of accounts or ledgers within the systems.
6. Using your personal skills, knowledge, and experience, play an active part in a dynamic friendly team to positively impact team performance and assist in meeting business goals

**Essential**
- Previous experience working within a similar role would be advantageous.
- Willing to work within a team to achieve team/department objectives
- Excellent attention to detail
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Good communication skills with the ability to talk to other departments or suppliers to resolve queries.
- Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
