If you are seeking to develop your career within an ambitious and vibrant College, we are currently seeking Assistant Principals to lead teams in Construction Trades, Engineering and Motor Vehicle (CTEM), and Student Services.

**Assistant Principals - **The Role:
In both roles you will work as a member of our Senior Leadership Team to contribute and support the College's aim of 'Better Lives Through Learning' by ensuring that the College provides an outstanding educational experience for all learners and apprentices.

Assistant Principal in Construction Trades, Engineering, Motor Vehicle (CTEM),

Working with colleagues from across the College your remit will be to implement our student recruitment and retention strategy, ensuring optimum number of student enrolments in line with our strategic plan targets, whilst achieving and maintaining high qualityretention and achievement rates with the support of your Curriculum Managers, who you will support, develop and motivate to achieve their plans.

There will also be opportunities to get involved in cross college projects, or to take a lead in a specific area of interest.

**Assistant Principals - **You:

- You will be educated to degree level and hold qualified teacher status, along with a management qualification at Level 5 (or be willing to work towards this)
- You will have proven experience of leading and managing in a further education setting, alongside extensive knowledge of a range of qualifications and programme types, your commitment to teaching, learning and assessment excellence will be demonstrable
- You will be an effective leader who can communicate a clear vision, give direction and establish boundaries

**Assistant Principal Student Services**

This is a College characterised by timely and proactive support for students’ welfare and wellbeing; by the effectiveness of interventions to support student progress and in the quality of the student journey from initial induction to onward progressionto first choice destinations.

This is a role with a broad remit with student experience at its very core. The expectation is that you will develop and implement a comprehensive pastoral and learning support strategy to ensure that all students receive equal access and entitlement; implementeffective systems for managing Additional Learning Support funding across the College, including effective budget planning, recording, and claiming to maximise the resources available to support students; and ensure that the College establishes a Student EngagementStrategy which includes the development and effective management of the Student Union and Student Governors. In addition, as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, you will support the safeguarding team in implementing key protocols which support student safetyand wellbeing.

Able to demonstrate substantial professional practice supported by appropriate qualifications, you will have experience of leading multi-disciplinary teams with understanding of complex student issues and a diverse range of needs substantial knowledge ofadditional learning support funding and claiming in an FE context. This will be supported by the ability to develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, excellent communication and presentation skills, financial acumen and understanding as well as abilityto think creatively to achieve the best outcomes for both students and the organisation.
