**Grade : L2**

**Pay: £10.98 ph**

**Duration : Monday - Thursday 8am - 3pm & Friday 8am - 12:15pm**

We are looking for Grounds Maintenance Operatives to undertake a range of horticultural/grounds maintenance and sports turf maintenance tasks throughout the Borough of Luton on a temporary basis for the duration of 6 months.

**Main Duties**:

- Undertake grass cutting and other grounds and gardens maintenance duties.
- Assist higher graded employees to mark out sports pitches, undertake fine turf maintenance, and gardening duties.
- Undertake duties, such as hoeing, weeding, digging, leaf raking, grass cutting, ground working and hedge cutting to the required standards.
- Undertake litter picking by hand in parks and amenity areas throughout the Borough to specified standards.
- Sweep hard surface areas by hand, as and when required, to remove glass and other extraneous material.

**Skills and experience**
- Ability and willingness to do gardening / cleaning duties.
- Able to use own initiative when undertaking tasks and able to work well as part of a team.
- Current valid driving licence, to operating ride on machinery and to transport staff and equipment to various sites.
