My client are leading market specialists in the supply of industrial components who are committed to surpassing customer needs by providing solutions and materials worldwide.

They are currently looking for an Accounts Administrator to join their team based in North London. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will provide accounting and clerical assistance. This will involve accurately preparing and maintainingaccounting documents and records, plus collating and filing documentation.

**Job Brief**
- Perform a variety of accounting, bookkeeping and financial tasks.
- Keeping financial records updated, preparing reports and reconciling bank statements. Use accounting software programs to process business transactions, such as accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expense vouchers and receipts
- To ensure that the company’s daily accounting functions run accurately and effectively.

**Responsibilities**
- Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department
- Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
- Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements
- Reconcile accounts in a timely manner
- Daily enter key data of financial transactions in database
- Submissions to HMRC
- Provide assistance and support to company personnel
- Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
- Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas
- Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws
- Constantly update job knowledge
- Any other reasonable duties tasked by management and/or any adhoc projects

**Requirements**:

- Proven accounting experience
- Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
- Experience of Intrastat and EC Sales List
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Aptitude for numbers
- Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks
- Data entry and word processing skills
- Well organized

**Skills**
- Knowledge of an accounts software package preferably Opera or Orderwise
- Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Power Point & Outlook)
- Good communication skills verbal and written
- Good numerical skills
- Team Player
