Come and join a friendly team within catering, as a Food Services Coordinator will be required to work independently within Catering Standard Operational Procedures and the principles of a flexible team approach and will be predominantly responsible for the operational organisation and supervisory management of the Food Service at Ward Level and all Commercial Catering Services (including; restaurant and coffee shop, newsagents, vending and hospitality) within the Hospital base and any associated areas.

Good communication skills are key to this role in providing quality service for both staff, patients and visitors.

This will include ensuring that a high standard of customer service are maintained at all times throughout all areas.

Adhering to safe working practices and hygiene requirements in line with HACCP, all relevant Food Hygiene Legislation/Guidelines, and Health Board policies and

The Food Services Coordinator will deputise for the Hotel Services Supervisor/Food Services Team Leader as/when required.

The ordering, control, storage, issue, receipt and administration of the provision of all food items, hardware, crockery and cleaning materials within Food Service areas whilst maintaining an effective recording system to identify the movement of stock from the provision store to its destination. To undertake the organisation of work schedules and duty rosters, and prioritise allocated work and staff resources as and when required, to ensure effective and efficient service delivery. Demonstrating good organisational and timing skills to meet departmental guidelines and targets. Resolve day to day issues to support the delivery of service provision in all associated areas, ensuring its delivery is of a high quality, efficient and cost effective. To monitor wastage in associated areas in line with departmental procedures and compile accurate meaningful reports.
