**The role**:Cyber Product Owner - Monitor**

Join us as a Cyber Product Owner for Monitoring and take charge of ensuring our logging and monitoring capabilities meet British Airways' needs. Working closely with BA colleagues, the BA Cyber Team, and IAG Tech, you'll craft product visions, strategies, and roadmaps, leveraging your strong domain understanding to define requirements and KPIs for the products you own.

**What you’ll do**:

- Provide technical cyber leadership across all of BA’s logging and monitoring products, including Splunk.
- Develop product visions, strategies, and roadmaps aligned with IAG Group and in support of new and emerging use cases from the BA business.
- Define a threat and risk-led monitoring strategy that enables BA to focus on what matters while minimising overheads.
- Implement high-fidelity reporting to provide meaningful context, enabling incident handlers to make quick and accurate decisions.
- Define monitoring requirements for new and existing infrastructure and ensure that standards are met globally.
- Lead a review to evaluate existing monitoring capabilities and weaknesses, identifying solutions to reduce weaknesses.
- Engage proactively with BA colleagues and third parties to understand pain points and blind spots, continuously improving our monitoring and alerting practices.
- Effectively communicate, reason, and influence stakeholders across BA and IAG Tech to promote the understanding of monitoring requirements.
- Develop and maintain an up-to-date threat model and cyber view of our monitoring capability.

**Skills / capabilities**:

- Highly analytical, demonstrating a methodical and structured approach with high attention to detail.
- Excellent communicator, adept at translating complex technical issues into understandable language for all stakeholders.
- Ability to review and understand security reference architectures, patterns, and guidance.
- Capacity to recognise priorities and guide others toward accomplishing strategic business goals and objectives.
- Eagerness to learn new technologies.

**Qualifications / experience**:

- Strong technical security skills related to SIEM.
- Experience with SIEM and SOAR products (Desirable - Splunk).
- Recognised cyber security certifications or qualifications are desirable.
- Experience defining monitoring strategy and tuning for security tooling.
- Offensive security experience, such as penetration testing, is desirable.
- Experience working with outsourced SOC providers is desirable.
- Proven track record of providing successful support in the field and enabling and facilitating a culture of continual improvement.
