Job title: Roehampton Abroad Officer (Custom and Bespoke Programming)

Main purpose of the job:
This role has responsibility to support the development and delivery of the Roehampton Abroad strategy, focusing on delivery of a series of lead generating and conversion activities, specifically focused on short term, faculty-led and custom programming, ensuring an outstanding student and partner experience from enquiry through to the end of the study abroad experience.

Main duties and responsibilities:
1. Support the development and delivery of the Roehampton Abroad strategy.

2. Coordinate and deliver a series of lead generating and conversion activities to increase numbers of students coming to Roehampton on short term programmes.

3. Contribute to the development of sustainable new recruitment channels primarily through added value partnerships and embed them in daily operations.

4. Create, develop and deliver, exciting custom, faculty-led and bespoke programming throughout the year for partners and external organisations.

5. Build and strengthen effective and sustainable relationships with existing and potential partners, including coordinating risk assessments and facilitating the day to day management of custom and short term programming throughout the study abroad lifecycle.

6. Deliver a series of lead generating and conversion activities to increase numbers of students spending a period abroad from Roehampton on short term programmes.

8. Coordinate the partner invoicing process ensuring partners receive invoices in a timely, efficient and accurate manner.

9. Develop and maintain Roehampton Abroad marketing materials including relevant webpages.

10. Support the Head of International Recruitment, Head of Study Abroad and Study

Abroad Manager with all Roehampton Abroad activity.

11. Undertake other duties commensurate with the post as may be required.

- Proven organisational skills.
- Effective interpersonal skills that demonstrate an ability to build positive relationships with individuals at many levels, both in the University and externally.
- Understand how to present the university’s products in a structured professional way, listening to customer requirements and presenting appropriately to make a sale, including challenging objections with a view to achieving that sale.
- Excellent oral, written and electronic communication skills in relaying key factual messages, support and advice in a clear, timely, effective and relevant manner.
- Knowledge of marketing theory and techniques and the role of people, product, process and promotion in executing a project.
- Takes a student and partner centric approach to work.
- Ability to understand when a process could work more efficiently and improve that process.
- Ability to identify gaps in provision of student experience and associated processes and propose solutions to fill them.
