**Event Manager**

**The role**:
We are looking for an enthusiastic, high-energy events professional to coordinate the operational aspects of 6-10 annual conferences to the agreed standard, deadline and budget. This position demands a team player that is commercially oriented and that strivesto provide professional and seamless on-site experience for all conference attendees. The event manager will travel 15 - 25% of the time organizing memorable events that meet quality expectations.

In the Event Manager role, some of your duties will include:

- To manage and deliver operational aspects of conferences and training courses to the agreed standard, deadline and budget. Events are a mixture of in person and online
- Coordinating event logistics including working closely with internal team, event venues, speakers, hotels and 3rd party vendors
- Organising facilities and managing onsite logistics such as catering, entertainment, audio visual, transportation, off-site excursions, attendee’s, equipment, promotional materials, etc.
- Taking the lead for assigned events as it pertains to customer satisfaction; serve as an ambassador for the whole organization at the event
- Hotel sourcing and negotiation
- Speaker liaison
- Gathering information and negotiating proposals and contracts prior to closing any deals
- Collaborating with the production team to ensure conferences are cost effective while maintaining a high-degree of quality
- Responsible for event budgets and cost management across multiple annual events
- Handling all incoming inquiries and outgoing general correspondence
- Acting as the point person for sponsor / exhibitors
- Assisting co-workers with pre-conference preparation, customer communication, and on site logistics remote from office

**The person**:
We require the following skills and experience for the Event Manager role:

- Proven B2B event management experience and some experience of managing online events is essential.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Ability to create and/or manage existing computer spreadsheets and databases to maintain fidelity of a large amount of information (data and financial)
- Ability to travel (once permitted) 15 - 25% of the time as needed.
- Flexible hours required whilst onsite/travelling
