Based at our global HQ in Northwich, Cheshire, the Compliance Manager will be responsible for overseeing global compliance with all general legislative and regulatory requirements and developing the Group's due diligence programme.

Compliance is a key function for Dechra. Dechra operates within an increasingly complex and diverse regulatory framework. It is the role of the Compliance Officer to navigate relevant regulations, guidance, and standards to facilitate awareness and compliancein line with Dechra's strategic goals.

For the avoidance of doubt, the role is not responsible for pharma-industry specific regulatory matters which are managed globally by the Regulatory team.

- Scanning the legislative horizon as regards upcoming developments and impending changes which may impact best practices. Monitoring and updating policies, procedures, and training programmes
- Liaising with Company Secretary with regards to the summary policies in Dechra's Code of Business Conduct
- Providing practical, knowledgeable, and effective advice and training on all compliance matters
- Liaise with senior management regarding key compliance risks in their respective business areas
- Draft papers for the Board and Audit Committee, as well as presenting to the Audit Committee and the Senior Executive Team
- Conducting external due diligence checks; advising on due diligence issues with respect to new and existing businesses and conducting third party screening for Modern Slavery, ABC, Sanctions, Data Protection, and other key compliance risks
- Working with a special project team to develop and implement a Group-wide due diligence assessment tool to be used across Dechra's third party network
- Partnering with the Legal and Internal Audit and Risk teams to analyse and resolve potential compliance issues and respond to changes in regulatory requirements
- Assist in investigating concerns raised via the How to Raise a Concern (whistleblowing) procedure
- Act as the Group Data Protection Officer, if so requested.
- Previous broad experience in a Compliance function including advising on data protection matters
- Previous experience working in-house (particularly a global business) and/or a health/pharma/manufacturing business is desirable
- Computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Experience with specialist compliance software tools desirable
- Relevant compliance and/or data protection qualification is desirable
