About the role:

The Contracts Management and Ethics Director shall have the overall responsibility for overseeing the entire contract lifecycle, and ensuring compliance with legal and company policies, procedures, and company/group standards. Further they will be responsible for the negotiation of terms, drafting agreements, and monitoring the execution of all contracts (intercompany and project scopes) ensuring contracts are completed safely, on time, on budget, and to the required standard.

Additionally, the Contracts Management and Ethics Director will be responsible for the coordination of site based technical and projects personnel in identifying and mitigating risks associated with contractual scopes of work, in order to safeguard the company’s interests. They shall also be responsible for the maintenance of all contractual records and developing and implementing company/project policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

The post holder will be required to drive and deliver Storengy UK goals / targets and ensure achievement of required standards. This shall include: -

As an ExCom member: -

Provide strategic and operational leadership within the business. Develop and embed desired organisational culture within the business. Pro-actively contribute to the development of organisational strategies and goals as well as their effective implementation.

As a Contract Manager: -

Creating, analysing, negotiating, and executing contracts. Preparing terms and conditions for inclusion in each contract with support from the ENGIE UK Hub Procurement Team. Developing and maintaining relationships with contracting entities, projects team, as well as the ENGIE UK Hub. Maintaining contract related documents. Maintaining contracts and extending, renewing and/or terminating. Troubleshooting contract related problems. Resolving legal disputes.

As an Ethics coordinator: -

Uphold company's ethical principles and codes of conduct in all business activities undertaken. Conducting risk assessments and workplace self-assessments (INCOME/MOSAIC). Liaise closely with the country level Ethics Officer to appraise and report all ethics matters. Raising awareness. Providing advisory services. Promoting an ethical work environment.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

Essential

Bachelor’s Degree in either Business, Project Management, Law or equivalent. Project management experience. Risk management skills and experience. Critical thinking skills. Drafting and revising contracts and contract administration. Leadership skills. Team management skills.

Desirable

Quantity surveying. Attention to detail. Conflict resolution. Contract law awareness.
