**Kitchen Operative - Care** Home - FT/PT
Location - Leys Park Care Centre
We are recruiting for a Kitchen Operative to join our established and friendly team to support the Kitchen and provide quality meals for our residents.
You will be joining St Philip's Care we provide outstanding care to our clients which is why we have been named '**The most outstanding care group in the UK**' and ‘**The most improved Dementia Care Group in the UK**’ by the UK Over 50s Housing Awards.
**As a Kitchen Operative you will be responsible for**:
- To accept reasonable duties as delegated by the Home Manager
- Plating and presenting food items as per the residents’ requirements
- Comply with all our Standard Operating Procedures for all multi portion meals
- To help and support with the preparation and serving of meals and beverages as required
- Preparing multi portion meals, including seasoning of different meals, as well as chopping, peeling, and washing of all fruits and vegetables
- Preparing basic sauces and salads as requested by the residents
- Knowledge of textured and modified diets
- An eye for detail, making sure that everything looks as it should before serving
- To prepare the dining room for the serving of meals
- To clear tables and ensure all crockery and cutlery are washed put away
- To carry out kitchen duties always ensuring a high standard of hygiene. To use resources effectively
- Abide and understand policies and procedures
- Food hygiene knowledge preferable
- Good command of English both written and verbal, and numeracy skills
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Attend mandatory and in house training as required
- A sharp understanding of kitchen health & safety, food safety, and COSHH
- Maintain cleanliness and records as required
- _Minimum qualification NVQ Level 2 or 706/2 in Catering, Basic or Intermediate Food Hygiene certificate ?_

**Experience**:
