- Degree level qualification in relevant field/ equivalent experience
- Portfolio of continuing personal development
**Desirable criteria**:
- Qualification in Health Promotion (or equivalent)
- Management qualification
**Experience**:
**Essential criteria**:
- Substantial experience of working in, or with the NHS, facilitating change to improve care or health outcomes
- Experience of behavior change techniques, focusing on best practice guidelines and evidence of effectiveness
- Demonstrative experience of staff management and leading a team
- Experience of assessing the evidence base and using a range of tools to assess and respond to the health needs of service users to inform programme/service development
- Experience of developing strategies and implementing policy to facilitate and achieve change in health care practice
- Proven change management skills
- Experience of managing and mitigating risks

- Experience of collaborating with local community services and primary care
**Skills and Knowledge**:

- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge and understanding of the NHS and current policies and strategies relating to health improvement
- Up to date knowledge of treatment protocols and procedures for lifestyle services
- Specialist knowledge of current issues in breast screening
- Numerate, with excellent analytical skills/ability to understand and produce statistical information to use in problem solving Knowledge of data collection and monitoring systems. Ability to analyse and interpret highly complex data, facts or situations
- Well-developed interpersonal organisational and negotiating skills
- Ability to prepare concise yet insightful written communications and reports for dissemination to a range of stakeholders
