**B3 Employment Services Administrator**

We have an exciting opportunity within the council’s Business Support Centre (BSC) and are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our Employee Changes Team.

**About us**
The Employee Changes Team are responsible for maintaining all aspects of the payroll system relating to employees’ personal payroll and employment history. This includes inputting salary information such as:

- new starters
- leavers
- changes to hours and positions
- monitoring temporary arrangements
- processing additional payments

We provide a payroll administration service to over 43,000 employees across Leeds City Council and our external customers including schools, academies, colleges and theatres.

**About you**
- ** **To work as a member of our team, you will need an enthusiastic and professional approach to work. You will also need the ability to multitask and prioritise your own workload whilst working accurately to strict deadlines.
- Your responsibilities will include:

- Processing information onto our systems with accuracy.
- Interpreting instructions whilst ensuring terms and conditions are followed
- Supporting with changes to the new payroll system*
- Understanding the use of systems, processes, and legislation.
- Identifying your own learning and development needs and discussing them with your line managers.
- Making suggestion for ways to improve our service and to work more efficiently.

(* The council is currently undertaking a review of our systems which includes updating our payroll systems.)
- Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- The ability to multitask, plan and organise workloads.
- Experience of working in a payroll or financial setting would be advantageous but not essential.

This role involves hybrid working with regular time spent in the office (Merrion House, Leeds City Centre).
