An exciting opportunity has arisen for a NEW Community/ Respiratory support secretary.

The post holder is required to support in the delivery of a comprehensive administrative service to MPFT Children's Respiratory Community team.

You will need to be a highly motivated and flexible team player with excellent organisational and communication skills. The ability to work under pressure and effectively prioritise your own workload is essential. We are looking for a secretary with high standards and an eye for detail. You must have the ability to multi-task and work in a busy, ever changing environment.

This position is a secondment/fixed term contract, part time, three days per week (22.5 hours).

Medical Secretarial experience would be desirable, be able to work on your own initiative with well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.

Possession of RSA stage III typing / word processing (or equivalent), audio transcription, GCSE English (Grade C or above) or equivalent is essential. Possession of an AMSPAR Diploma or equivalent would be a distinct advantage

An understanding of the EPR computer system is desirable but not essential, as full training will be given.

The post holder will need to demonstrate good communication skills, flexibility, reliability and have an organised approach to work. Working as part of a team of Medical Secretaries, you will support with the management of waiting lists, typing of clinical letters, along with daily office duties as required by the clinical team.

The post will be based at Royal Stoke University Hospital but may require cross site working.
