The Role & Key Responsibilities

From your first day with us you will be part of a policing family making a real difference.
It is our mission to identify and protect vulnerable people, prevent and respond to harm and keep people safe.
In this role you will be part of a team that supports Operational Policing in many ways including providing 24/7 research capability to front line Police Officers and Staff in Sussex and Nationally, in all aspects of Police National Systems as a Subject Matter Expert.
In addition, working with external partner agencies enabling safeguarding of our communities and providing a professional point of contact.
You will be trained in all aspects of the role and what is required of the Force Research Operator role.

Skills & Experience

Must have:
Qualifications A to C or equivalent in English and Maths.

Interpersonal skills and excellent verbal and written communication.

Good working knowledge and experience of Data Protection Act, Freedom of Information Act and Human Rights Act.

Ability to be flexible, adaptable, and able to work as part of a team or independently in a very busy office environment, utilising your initiative whilst under mínimal supervision.

Able to analyse large amounts of information and be able to deliver information in a structured form to enable decision making and support to Policing, a strong level of attention to detail is required.

The role requires a high level of Responsibility and Integrity in handling sensitive, Official and confidential information.
