We have a friendly and supportive team of more than 200 staff, with over 40 GP’s, Pharmacists, Paramedics, Nurses, Mental Health specialists and our range of administrative staff. Situated in beautiful Dorset with the prestigious Blue Flag beaches of Bournemouth and Sandbanks, the Jurassic coastline and a wealth of attractions and countryside to visit we are lucky to be in such a fantastic area.

**Job summary**:
To provide accurate, efficient and punctual medical records administration to patients and staff by way of both data input and extraction from the Shore Medicals designated clinical system. To liaise with healthcare professionals, staff members, patients, solicitors and other external organisations to assist with the resolution and administration of queries.

To work as part of a team helping with the successful running of a busy GP Practice. To provide excellent customer service and project a professional image for the Surgery. To work effectively with and provide support to other colleagues within the Surgery. To become proficient and develop a thorough knowledge of Practice procedures.

This role will be based at our **Parkstone Tower Practice.**

**22.5 hours**

**Your Background**:
We are looking for people to join us who are caring, compassionate and good at communicating. Particular skills and requirements we are looking for include:

- A high level of typing proficiency.

To work 25 hours weekly
- Tuesday 1-6pm, Wednesday 8am-6pm, Thursday 8am-1pm and Friday 8am-1.30pm
- To provide a high-quality administration service to the practice and its patients.
- Dealing with patient queries by phone.
- Coding information into the practice clinical system.
- Update patient records in a timely and accurate manner.
- Processing patient links
- Processing relevant paperwork for PCSE.
- Registering new patients.
- Reconciliation of medical notes for new patients.
- Filing medical notes accurately
- Processing patient record deductions
- Process temporary patient records and return to PCSE
- Manage all patient requests for medical records, reports and letters
- Process insurance reports requests
- Organising private medicals, such as DVLAs and Taxi medicals
- Liaise with coroners and GP following request for coroner report
- Liaising with healthcare professionals, staff members, patients, solicitors and other external organisations to assist with the resolution and administration of queries.
- Answering the telephone and assisting receptionists with queries as required.
- Keep GPs informed of updates as necessary.
- To work confidentially at all times.
- To undertake additional tasks as required by the line manager or GP Partners.
