**A little about the role and service**
Ty Laura is a short breaks provision for children with complex needs. The service supports children and young people to have overnight stays where they can have positive experiences, whilst giving their care givers a short break. The service runs 24/7 except for closure periods during the Christmas period and identified training days.
Here at Ty Laura the age range of the children and young people attending the service is between 5 and 18 years old. Ty Laura is a fast-paced service, with its needs changing on a daily basis, but with its main focus always being on positive outcomes for those in our care.
As an Administrator Officer you'll be a key member of our Ty Laura Short Breaks Project. You will play a vital role in providing admin and finance support. You'll need flexibility to meet the needs of the 24/7 service, with most of your hours worked between Monday to Friday.
**What You'll Do**:
- Providing a high-quality range of administrative services across the departments.
- Being effective, intuitive, flexible and able to work to deadlines.
- Having a willingness to learn with strong attention to detail and adhere to best practises.
- Providing excellent customer service and being a good communicator.
- Having a sensitive approach to the work that we undertake.
- Working as a team but with the ability to work on your own initiative.
**What You'll Need**:
- Experience of a similar administrative role with excellent communication skills is essential.
- Strong IT Skills and experience of using various IT systems including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- To be a confident communicator and able to converse with senior professionals from a variety of backgrounds.
- The ability to take minutes at meetings.
- Good prioritisation and time management ensuring deadlines are met, whilst maintaining the ability to handle sensitive data.
- To be proactive with a ‘can-do' attitude.
