You will play a pivotal part in our award-winning success through providing a world class level of service. You will work in a variety of venues at Chester Racecourse including our stylish and intimate hospitality venue PARADE.
Chester Race Company are recruiting Hosts/Hostess's for the 2024 racing season at Chester Racecourse With opportunities to upskill in other areas of the business there will also be the chance to top up your hours outside of race days. This role is exciting and varied, you will be the welcoming face of the brand, often being the first (and lasting) impression our guests have of Chester Racecourse.

The successful Premium Venue Host will be responsible for some of the following:
Welcoming guests to our venue, being a point of contact for queries and a friendly face
Ensuring the smooth running of the restaurant / hospitality venue assigned to you alongside management and wait staff
Seating your guests at their table and resolving any table plan issues
Providing a world class level of guest experience within a hospitality setting
Proactively going above and beyond, exceeding guest expectations at all times and catering to all with extra attention
Obtaining feedback from guests by completing surveys on a tablet
Ensuring a positive farewell to guests upon their departure
What skills and experience do we look for in our Premium Venue Hosts?
5 years previous experience within a host role to a high level within the hospitality, events or luxury service industry (mandatory)
Previous experience in a guest focused business
Understanding of fine dining restaurant etiquette
A genuine passion and commitment for providing a high level of guest experience
Positive, approachable, and confident demeanour is a must
Excellent communication skills (via phone and in-person)
Ability to put yourself out there to entertain and make our guests feel welcomed
Problem solving and organisational skills
A host is the face of the restaurant / hospitality area and should look both stylish and professional. You will set the tone for your guest's experience and should be dressed appropriately for a premium area.
Our rates of pay (All rates are inclusive of holiday pay)
18+ £13.15-£13.73 per hour (dependant on experience)
You will be required to work on race days at Chester Racecourse.
There is also the option to scale up your hours via our staff app, the power is in your hands
