We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pastoral Coordinator to join our vibrant school community in Newham. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the holistic development and welfare of our students.

**Responsibilities**:
**Wellbeing Advocate**: You will be entrusted with the responsibility of overseeing the wellbeing of a specific year group, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment where every student feels safe, valued, and empowered to thrive.

**Behavioural Management**: Your role will involve effectively managing and resolving behavioural incidents within your assigned year group, implementing strategies to promote positive behavior and address any challenges that may arise.

**Promotion of School Rules**: You will work closely with students, staff, and parents to promote adherence to school rules and expectations, reinforcing a culture of respect, responsibility, and cooperation.

**Supportive Guidance**: Providing guidance and support to students facing personal or academic challenges, helping them navigate obstacles and reach their full potential.

**Collaborative Approach**: Collaborating with teachers, support staff, and external agencies to develop and implement pastoral support plans tailored to the individual needs of students.

**Requirements**:
Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, or related field (preferred).

Previous experience working in a pastoral or student support role within a school setting.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.

Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.

Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of children.
