The airport team includes colleagues from airlines, baggage handlers, control authorities, retailers, passenger services, emergency services, transport providers, security, engineering, airfield operations and more.

There’s no place like Heathrow when it comes to the scale of our ambitions. Our vision is to give passengers the best airport service in the world and we work closely with our Team Heathrow Partners to achieve it.

We do this by building trusted relationships with our partners, working to understand our shared goals and continually driving up standards across safety, operational and resilience performance. Reporting to the Team Heathrow Director, the Head of Team Heathrow is responsible for co-creation of the Team Heathrow future strategy.

Groundhandling services are a critical part of the Heathrow ecosystem, ensuring we can deliver our world-leading services. The importance of relationships with customers, operators, and suppliers, indeed all of those companies that make up the airport ecosystem, as we enter into the period of growth post pandemic and beyond is vital. The purpose of this role is not to replace those responsibilities. It is to understand, simplify, codify their focus, create methods to close gaps in the operating model and thereby ensure a detailed and systematic approach to planning, performance, operating, knowledge sharing, engagement and communication.

The Head of Team Heathrow will be responsible for the creation of our future Ground Handling Target Operating Model, including formal consultation and implementation. This target operating model should support our long-term strategy and ambition of growth, Hub of choice and giving the best airport service in the world. Working closely internally and externally with key stakeholders to optimise and secure the ecosystem of the future will be key.

Use this effectively to help the wider business deliver on their objectives, strategy and project through pinpointed influence and creation of advocacy partners.
