Role Summary
This is an autonomous partnership role working with an arts psychotherapies service within a large NHS Trust in partnership with Brunel University London. You will be required to organise and coordinate placements for arts therapies students as well as support and coordinate arts therapists to be able to teach effectively, and provide regular liaison with Brunel academic staff, ultimately helping to build and stronger relationship with the tertiary sector and physical care, promoting good practices and excellent patient care.
This role will be divided between teacher support and placement coordination with administrative support.
We are looking for a Registered Arts Therapist with a passion for helping students with their placement needs as well as supporting practice educators and academic staff. This role will be divided between coordinating and developing new placements and academic support. You need to be able to be flexible, approachable, and to wILL able to work independetly.
Job sharing will be considered.

Key Responsibilities
Education and Training
**Multi-Disciplinary Learning Needs Analysis**: you will be expected to work across the CNWL - Brunel partnership to conduct a multi-disciplinary learning needs analysis with CNWL arts and health educators. You will also be expected to build relationships with service users and service user forums and facilitate their input into the learning needs analysis.
You will be responsible for developing, implementing, evaluating placements in the NHS and third sector.
You will also be responsible for maintaining awareness of regional and national professional education programmes and up to date best practice guidance and disseminating suitable up-to-date reference material to educators and professionals involved in arts and health clinical education.
You will develop an evidence based, high quality multi-disciplinary education plan for the staff working in the post-Covid pathway informed by best practice, service user feedback and the learning needs analysis. The plan will include:
- Coordinating education and training for the partnership
- Coordinating trainee assessments
- Identifying gaps in trainee education provision and developing or commissioning education opportunities to fill them
- Development and facilitation of whole-system education and training through webinars, group sessions, for trainees and practice educators
- Developing, implementation of placement sites
**You will be responsible for**:
- Developing and implementing high standard placements across all sectors
- liasing with CNWL Arts Psychotherapies Partnership Education programmes to ensure consistency of guidance and messaging across professional educators and our trainees
- curating education material and regularly reviewing this material in line with emerging evidence.
- Providing timely assessment support and formative and summative assessments
- ensuring practice educators feel confident and competent to champion health equalities for arts therapies treatment and access, with particular reference to the social inequalities that may result from treatment options offers and to ensure trainees are sufficiently skilled to address these.
