Technical Administrator required to join a public-sector organisation based in Hertfordshire. This is a temporary position, that sits as part of the Housing directorate.

As Technical Administrator, you will be responsible for providing a range of technical administration support to the housing team.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Provide initial technical advice regarding areas across Investment such as: Aids and Adaptions, Major Works, Damp and Condensation, Compliance and Property and Estates.
- Assist in delivering and supporting all aspects of office and administration support functions
- Maintain and develop robust processes and procedures, ensuring technical support is provided such as using Excel spreadsheets to track and record specialist data for project managers across the service area.
- Maintain generic mailboxes within the service area, responding to service queries, and investigate further for supporting evidence when needed.
- Manage the referral process for Aids and Adaptions, liaising with Occupation Therapists, the NHS and Enablement to effectively prioritise urgent cases.
- Maintain, manage, and organise appointments for Damp and Condensation enquiries, working with Project Surveyors, external customers and the relevant contractors.
- Create and amend letter templates when required, e.g. to inform customers of progress relating to Damp and Condensation issues.
- Process complaints, ensuring that action is taken and complainants are informed of progress in accordance with council processes and procedures.
- Maintain the smooth and effective operation of office support within the business unit
- Attend team meetings and briefings within the service area and to be able to effectively compile agendas, minute taking and collate the information and schedule meetings when required.

Key Skills:

- Proven track record of providing administrative support in a similar role within a Housing Association or Local Authority
- Experience of using databases such as Northgate and Keystone (desirable)
- Experience of working with contractors, tenants and residents to achieve agreed works completion within agreed timescales
- Good understanding of statutory regulations and approved codes of practice (ACOP); Fire, Legionella, Asbestos, Gas, Electricity et al;
