Finance Administrator

The Finance Administrator will provide the regional lead for all financial processes ensuring timely management and reconciliation of accounts and cash held by one of the homes. Where a home has a period of absence in their admin function, the Finance SupportAdministrator will support the home in those financial tasks for which the home's management has restricted access or to meet month end requirements.

My client based in Oxford is a leading Not for Profit organisation specialising in the care industry. They are looking for an **immediately available** Finance Administrator to join their team on a temp to perm basis.
**Description**
Finance Administrator responsibilities:
- Cover of financial tasks within the home where the administrative support is absent and:
- For which the home's management do not have access to systems due to segregation of duties.
- Where time restricted month end duties are required.
- Perform internal audit of financial processes to ensure compliance by:
- A structured review programme of attendance at homes
- To advise & review actions identified by the Internal Auditor to ensure that the issues raised are fully addressed in a timely manner
- Provide training to home's management and administrative support in financial procedures by:
- Organisation of training for new starters o communicating additional or updated financial processes
- Identification and provision of adhoc training to individuals or groups as necessary
- To provide day to day feedback to the Regional Management Accountant on the homes by:
- Highlighting areas of concern where evidence suggests non-compliance to financial processes and the planned actions taken to rectify the position
- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in processes and the presentation of recommended solutions for discussion
Ensure the accuracy and timely provision of month end reconciliations from homes by:
- Coordinating and communicating deadlines for submission of reconciliations for RPM, Amenities, PPC and Petty cash
- Reviewing and assisting in the resolution of any discrepancies
- Assist in the implementation of new systems from time to time in homes as required
- Attend regular Finance Officer meetings to ensure co-ordination and communication of concerns, suggestions and best practice across regions
**Profile**
- Must be immediately available
- Must drive as you will routinely be visiting different sites across Oxfordshire
- GCSE English and Maths (grades A-C) or equivalent.
- IT Literate - MS Office Very good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook Excellent telephone manner.
- Able to draft non-standard letters etc.
- Able to undertake substantial amounts of routine administration
