Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Finance and Grants Administrator, working alongside the Finance and Grants Team at the Nuffield Department of Women's & Reproductive Health. This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain valuable experience across various administrative areas within a university setting, specialising in finance and grants management.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Finance and Grants Team, including tasks such as maintaining filing systems, assisting with financial processes, and managing communications.

In addition, this role will involve developing specialised skills in finance and grants administration, including accounts payable, procurement, and financial reporting. The appointee will receive training on the University's financial databases and learn to assist with grant applications and budgeting processes.

We offer a comprehensive training program, which includes in-house training and distance learning through BPP (Business Professional People). The post is offered on a full-time basis and is a 3-year apprenticeship.

About the Apprenticeship

This apprenticeship provides an excellent opportunity to develop essential skills in financial and management accounting. As an apprentice, you will participate in a Level 3 AAT Accounting Apprenticeship and subsequently progress to a CIMA Level 4 Accounting Apprenticeship.

The appointment will be based at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, and we estimate that it will take approximately 3 years to complete all elements of the apprenticeship.

What We Offer

We provide a welcoming and inclusive workplace, offering support and development opportunities to enable you to progress and do your best work. You will also have the opportunity to become an apprenticeship ambassador for the University and region.

We recognise diversity as our strength, vital for innovation and creativity, and we aspire to build a truly diverse community, which values and respects every individual's unique contribution.
