Job Summary
We have an excellent opportunity for a talented, dynamic and highly motivated individual to join our Information Governance Team.
The position involves a wide range of duties and project work to support the Integrated Care Board’s compliance with Information Governance requirements including Data Protection legislation and statutory obligations, and national policy.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will play a key role in the investigation and processing of data breaches and will process requests under rights for individuals over their data such as Subject Access requests. The role will require strong communication skills for the production of formal reports and development of training materials and liaising with a variety of staff, public and partner organisations.
The post holder will need to have solid IG knowledge, be a good team player, and have a keen eye for detail. An innovative and positive approach towards developing the service to excellence is essential.
About us
This post is based at NHS Nottingham and Nottinghamshire ICB's new Headquarters, which is the Sir John Robinson House in Arnold. However, there will be some flexibility in working arrangements, in line with the ICB's agile working principles.
Key Responsibilities
**The post holder will**:
- Support the ICB’s DSPT assessment work, obtaining and evaluating appropriate supporting evidence for requirements. They will be directly responsible for the completion of specific contributory work such as the annual staff confidentiality and security audits and reporting formally on such activities.
- Process incoming requests relating to individual information rights (including Subject Access Requests) under data protection legislation.
- Undertake projects ensuring there is a clear plan of work from beginning through to delivery within specified timescales.
- Plan, develop and disseminate a programme of staff awareness materials/ briefings to promote information governance best practice across the ICB and GP practices. Deliver training to all levels of staff.
Actively input into the development and updating of the ICB information governance policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain the IG intranet pages and monitor and maintain the ICB’s IG internet information pages.
- Organise and administer meetings, including preparation of agendas, dissemination of papers, taking minutes/ notes, and following-up on agreed actions. Update and maintain and monitor records logs.
- Keep up IG knowledge up to date and seek out own training and learning and self-development.
- Work proactively; be highly motivated and drive improvement, contributing ideas and suggestions for areas of development in the team and wider organisation.
- Be a good team player with ability to work alone as well as with supervision and recognize when to escalate matters efficiently.
- Carry out any other duties as may reasonably be required by their line manager.
