E-commerce Assistant

The Ecommerce Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the execution of online strategies to enhance the customer experience and maximise sales. This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing product listings, co-ordinating assets to be used across the web journey as well as day-to-day administrative tasks.
**Let's take a look at your tasks**:
- Upload product imagery.
- Work with wider teams on the accurate categorisation of products.
- Implement changes to navigation and filters throughout the customer journey.
- Work closely with the design and marketing teams to brief visually appealing assets to promote the range.
- Implement merchandising strategies to highlight featured products and promotions.
- Maintain product recommendations, analysing performance and making suggestions to optimise further.
- Ensure launches are delivered on time and to a high standard.
- Work closely with marketing, sales, and customer service teams to align e-commerce activities with business goals.
- Manage digital team requests board and assign tasks to the relevant team member.
- Update sales and photography trackers.
- Support the E-commerce Manager in updating/maintaining trading plan documents.
**Data/Competitor Analysis led tasks**:
- Utilise product reports to inform merchandising decision-making.
- Generate basic reporting when requested by E-commerce Manager.
- Monitor competitor websites to stay informed about industry trends and pricing strategies.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on competitor analysis.
**The kind of attributes we are looking for**:
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or other data analysis tools would be advantageous.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
**And lastly qualifications**:
- Previous experience in e-commerce or merchandising is advantageous.
- Familiarity with online platforms and content management systems (CMS) is desirable.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
**Your working week will look like this**:
This is a 39 hour per week contract. Our working days are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm, with no weekend work. Unusually for a wholesale business, we finish at 3pm on a Friday during our off-peak season.
The role offers a hybrid working model. Typically our team of 4 work from the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays because it is super important for every team member to enjoy the benefits of collaboration, and maintain a positive team spirit.
