**Job description**

**Duties & **Responsibilities**:

- Support and maintain secondary National EDI groups
- Responsibility for input of all orders from UK and Overseas
- Support EDI order processing as required
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve any problems that may arise
- Agree workload and priorities with Sales Administration Manager
- Validate and release orders
- Deal with document filing in a timely and efficient manner
- Issue pro forma invoices
- Liaise with Planning, Factory and Warehouse on issues regarding availability and delivery
- Coordinate and respond to all correspondence for orders and shipments
- Supply delivery information and deal with carrier enquiries
- Manage all point-of-sale orders received
- Obtain credit approval from wholesalers
- Process sample orders and maintain sample log
- Coordinate stock allocation / issue stock commitment report
- Set up price data for all major accounts and field sales customers, maintain and amend as required
- Complete Goal Deployment activities in line with business goals
- Oversee training arrangements for existing and new staff
- Contribute to the Continuous Improvement culture of both the department and business
- Comply with Health and Safety responsibilities defined in the company Health and Safety policy, and ensure that any specific responsibilities are adequately delegated in their absence
- Any other duties required to assist in supporting the achievement of Company objectives

**Person Profile**:

- Ideally within a commercial export environment
- Previous administration experience
- Experience of working in a busy and fast paced working environment
- Experience of working within a small team
- IT literate - Word, Excel, Powerpoint
- Knowledge of MFG / COGNOS (or similar system) would be an advantage
- Numerate with good accuracy and attention to detail
- Additional languages would be an advantage
- Ability to supervise, influence and develop others
- Extremely high standards of courtesy
- Must be able to operate calmly when managing a heavy workload
- Must be self-disciplined to work to tight deadlines and within set procedures
- Persuasive
- Self-motivated
- Happy to use own initiative
- Organised
- Good team player
- Good verbal and written communicator
- Capable of working under limited Supervision
- Works effectively with other departments to achieve a good result for the business as a whole
- Must be willing to work extra hours in season to manage fluctuating, seasonal customer demand

**Education **and/or Experience**
- Good basic standard of education required (GCSE level minimum)
- A further administration (or similar) qualification would be advantageous
- Any IT qualifications would be a benefit (ECDL or similar)
- Any NVQ qualification would be a benefit

**Schedule**:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

**Supplemental pay types**:
