We are recruiting for a Events Officer in the Belfast Area. The rate of pay will be £17.53 per hour. The hours of work are 9:00-17:00 Monday to Friday, and this is 37 hours a week.

**Your Duties will include**:

- To assist the Open Spaces and Active Living Manager to develop, manage and deliver a comprehensive, customer focused programme of events in parks and open spaces. This will include establishing regular programmes, schemes, fun days, and events to encourage the use of open spaces and active living according to set budgets and timescales.
- To be responsible for the provision of advice and guidance on all matters relating to the departments events policy. To act as first point of contact for officers and customers enquiring about booking an event in parks and open spaces, assisting them to complete the required procedure prior to the event taking place.
- To support corporate media relations resource in promoting good public relations between City and Neighbourhood Services Department and the public.
- To be responsible for the management of the Events Coordinator and any other designated staff, for example, placement student, according to management performance techniques.
