You will have a key role in ensuring our teams have the support they need from the moment they join.

**The Role**:
We are now looking for a dynamic, detail-oriented People Assistant to join our amazing team. Reporting to the HR Business Partner, you will play a critical role in supporting the HR function and ensuring smooth HR operations. This role is based in our Manchester office and will involve providing administrative support across a range of HR activities. This is a true generalist role, with involvement with all key People functions and our brand teams. You will be the first point of contact for team queries interacting with all our internal stakeholders. Welcoming our new starters, answering team queries, supporting our managers with policy / process queries, working with our payroll and reward teams to ensure our people’s benefits and pay are processed correctly. Supporting engagement activities and listening forums. No day is the same.

**Responsibilities**:
As our People Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

- Liaising with the Talent Acquisition team, you support the onboarding of our team, sending the offer, contracts, processing new starter documentation, answering any queries, and ensuring they are set up for their first day.
- Welcome our new starters, joining the Group Induction, running through HR systems, being a point of contact through their induction and holding new starter check ins feeding back to the People Partner.
- Manage any changes to T&C’s drafting letters, updating trackers and ensuring changes are processed for payroll cut off.
- Liaise with our payroll team with any payroll queries and to mitigate any payroll errors.
- Advise our Managers on their team’s family life events, supporting maternity paternity adoption meetings, ensuring our processes are completed in accordance with Company policy.
- Support the People Partner and Head of HR drafting invite and outcome letters for ER activity. Attending meetings as note taker where appropriate
- Supporting the People Partner with tracking ER activity such as welfare cases, referrals to Occupational health, probation, investigations and disciplinaries.
- Support the Reward team with the long service awards
- Ensure that all employee files are maintained and adhere to data protection and GDPR guidelines
- Manage leavers and conduct exit interviews to ensure we take our teams feedback on board
- Support the Head of HR with listening forums, and team engagement activities.
- Be the brands point of contact for our early careers work experience programme ensuring compliance and ensuring the visitors have a good experience.
