Visitor Experience Officer

Being a Visitor Experience Officer for the National Trust is all about people - connecting with them, inspiring them and making sure visitors have the best possible day when they come to visit. You'll also have a special focus on fundraising, helping ensure we can look after this place for everyone, for ever.
Leading a team of dedicated volunteers in areas such as the bookshop and stampshop, you will be responsible for one of the most successful fundraising operations in National Trust, delivering against stretching targets and inspiring your team to provide an exceptional visitor experience.

What it's like to work here:Reporting to the Experience & Visitor Programme Manager, you'll form a key part of the wider Visitor Experience team and working closely with the General Manager to deliver moments of supporter connection through fundraising and leadership of a team of 20+ volunteers.
In helping fund the crucial conservation work needed to protect Blicklings legacy, you'll play a vital role in safeguarding the glorious house, with its nationally important library, and the parkland’s extensive veteran tree collection.

What you'll be doing:As Visitor Experience Officer, one of your main focuses will be on providing great service for visitors, connecting them with Blickling Estate and driving fundraising donations.
Leading your volunteer team, you’ll ensure everyone feels welcome, inspiring them to really get to know Blickling. This might include devising and running events and activities, creating interpretive displays and other ways of bringing the place and its stories, to life.
You’ll be sharing your love for Blickling with supporters. You might be supervising volunteers and organising rotas, checking standards of presentation, creating a fundraising plan, devising new ideas to connect with supporters or consulting regional colleagues to ensure a joined-up approach. Everything links back to looking after this special place.
