Data Quality Assistant

The Data Quality Team is responsible for a wide range of data analysis relating to patient information and performance management, with main focus on Data Quality.

Data quality feeds into all areas of the Trust and under the NHS regime of Payment by Results (PbR) is a key objective for the Trust. It is also a vital component to ensure performance is measured accurately and feeds into all areas of Information Governance compliance. We are integral to the Trust’s performance management and our specialist knowledge plays an important part in operational decision-making.

You will be required to develop validation reports through the Qlikview system therefore ensuring effective data submission and minimising purchaser challenges through pre cleaning process. There is also an expectation that you will represent the DQ team & the organisation at meetings and to develop good communication links across all departments of the NHS (i.e hospitals within sector, cancer networks, strategic health authority).

Essentially this is a role with specific focus on excellent analytical and Data Quality skills

This post offers scope for development within the Data Quality Team.

East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust have recently invested in a corporate Data Quality team with a strong positive focus on 'delivering our vision and priorities' and supporting how it will ‘Shape our new strategy' in capturing robust, timely and accurate clinical activity data.

Providing training and support to operational staff and assisting with ongoing solutions for the Trust in terms of activity capture and problem solving

You will be a key component of a growing Data Quality team and with its varied and challenging responsibilities; you will grow in a Trust thriving for excellence in data capture and financial impact.

As an expert advisor you will be providing support for high level training and supporting team leaders and managers in potential changes and upgrades to current recording practices. Whilst also expanding in your own personal development, learning new skills and putting them into working processes.
