**JOB PURPOSE**
Sunsilk, TRESemmé, Dove, Love Beauty & Planet and VO5; are among the world’s most recognizable Hair Care brands developed by Unilever’s Global Development Centre in the North West of England.

The Non-Aerosol Styling team in Port Sunlight is responsible for the Global Styling Portfolio across a wide range of product formats. This role is an amazing opportunity to lead a team of formulation specialists in the development of next generation Styling technologies to help drive our Superiority and Planet Positive agendas within the Hair Category.

We are looking for an experienced formulation manager with the expertise, passion, strategic thinking and business acumen to deliver product innovations of the future.

The Formulation Manager will shape, drive and deliver the future of styling technologies, through value-optimized, sustainable, and superior innovations and renovations.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
The role holder will define and manage brand and capability programs, and deliver effectively in a cross-functional team environment. The position must make use of internal and external ecosystems as appropriate. The ability to manage stakeholders and collaborate effectively with business and technical teams is essential.
- Define Mid & Long-term technology road map that drives business growth through innovation.
- Build future-proof Formulation Capability for Styling.
- Develop strong partnerships within R&D (global, cluster) and with functional business partners (Supply Chain, Brand Development, Procurement, Finance, etc.).
- Establish good connections with the Port Sunlight ecosystem (Advanced Manufacturing Center, Materials Innovation Factory, S&T) and realize benefits.
- Manage and develop Skills and Competencies of direct reports.

**ALL ABOUT YOU**:

- Academic degree in a Science or Engineering Field.
- Relevant working experience with a proven track record of delivery - ideally in (Personal Care) R&D.
- Progressive mindset for product innovation - able to translate vision/ideas into compelling propositions, considering new ingredients, formats, and delivery systems.
- Strong leadership skills, and ability to inspire and manage people and teams.
- Business awareness - close connection to and understanding of market dynamics.
- Stakeholder management.
- Purpose & Service, Agility, Passion for high Performance.
