Senior Ward Housekeeper
We currently have a vacancy for a part-time (Saturday & Sunday) Senior Ward Housekeeper in Ward E at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre inOxford.
Ward E is a 24 bedded adult in-patient ward specialising in orthopaedic surgery, ranging from spinal to joint replacement surgery, also administering specialised medication infusions for complex rheumatology conditions.
We are an elective hospital so this means that most patients choose to have their treatment here, as a result, the environment is incredibly positive anduplifting.
We are looking for an individual who enjoys working in a busy and unpredictable environment and is able to use their initiative, but who likes working in a team.
Enthusiastic, organised, and excellent communicationskillsare a must, along with a can do attitude and a friendly demeanour.
The main focus of the role is to ensure that the ward is clean and tidy, well maintained and that clinical staff are supported so that they can focus on the care and treatment of our patients.
You will also be responsible for ensuring that all patients’ dietary requirements are met, and meal times run smoothly, this includes updating our patient record system with any relevant information concerning fluids or dietary needs to assist the nursing team.
Experience within the NHS would be an advantage but not essential.
The Trust comprises four hospitals - the John Radcliffe Hospital, Churchill Hospital and Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Headington and the Horton General Hospital in Banbury.
Our values, standards and behaviours define the quality of clinical care we offer and the professional relationships we make with our patients, colleagues and the wider community. We call this Delivering Compassionate Excellence and its focus is on our values of compassion, respect, learning, delivery, improvement and excellence. These values put patients at the heart of what we do and underpin the quality healthcare we would like for ourselves or a member of our family.
