**About the Role**:
**Face to Face Social Market Research Interviewer - Mobile, with travel up to 30 miles**

Have you ever wondered where statistics like **_“36% of Britons think the government should reduce income tax”_** come from?

As a Social Market Research Interviewer, you will be interviewing members of the public, across the London Transport Network. **You will be provided a device** to scan people's tickets and will ask about their travel habits, and record their responses. We work on behalf of all kinds of different clients, from government bodies to public sector organisations. The results of your data gathering will support improving public services, and help make operational decisions across the city.

We regularly recruit throughout London, if you are over 18, personable & confident when meeting new people, can travel across London, and want to earn money whilst impacting public policy - then this is the role for you

**£14.73 per hour (£13.15 per hour + £1.58 holiday pay) inside London., plus travel expenses. Unsociable hours also attract additional shift premiums.**

You will get to speak to a wide variety of people each day and a key part of the role is being personable, showing people why spending a little bit of their time to take part is worthwhile.

Depending on the project **you will usually work in a team of 2**, in the same area.

Some assignments will be very local to you; some assignments will require travel of up to 30 miles, occasionally more.

We will provide you with comprehensive **fully-paid training** to set you up for success in the role; our dedicated team will support you in-person during your first day in the field and remain available throughout your time with us.

**Job Opportunity**:
This is a flexible customer service, market research or sales role so you’ll have some control over when you work, although we ask you to commit to at least 4 shifts (24 hours) per week, with **at least 1 shift at a weekend**. Beyond this flex your time around other commitments like childcare, caring, or other employments.

We operate 7 days per week, usually in 6-hour shifts - starting at 05:30 until midnight - flexibility to cover all shift times would be advantageous.

You’ll be assigned to a large area, you could have to travel up to 30 miles to go to certain locations, sometimes further, travel is always paid.

This research projects could take place **anywhere on the DLR network**.

**Essential Skills**:
