We are seeking highly skilled and experienced clinicians to join our dedicated teams, within our Mental Health Support Teams in Spalding and Sleaford.

As a key member, you will play a crucial role in promoting and supporting mental health within educational settings.

Our MHSTs pride themselves on their creative and innovative approach to improving the mental health of Children and Young People, as well as developing the skill and confidence of Education Staff to identify and address these difficulties as early as possible, in line with our preventative way of working.

Provide leadership and guidance to a team of mental health practitioners within educational settings.

Coordinate and support the delivery of a range of Whole School Approach activities within education settings

Develop and implement mental health programs and interventions tailored to the unique needs of students and educational staff.

Conduct assessments and provide individual and group therapy to students dealing with mild to moderate mental health difficulties.

Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, leadership teams and parents / carers to create a supportive and inclusive mental health framework.

Stay informed about current trends, research, and best practices in mental health and education.

Offer training and professional development to education staff.

Coordinate and participate in Critical Incident Responses where need arises.

Provide support and clinical supervision to Low Intensity CBT practitioners within MHST.

Clinical Supervision & Support

Provide visible leadership to the teams, leading by example as a positive role model.

Provide clinical support to the team based on knowledge and experience as capacity allows.

Provide clinical supervision to EMHP’s and sometimes other members of the multi-disciplinary team.

To support and lead the development of projects within the children’s and young people’s services as and when required.

Management Supervision & Appraisals

Meet with the Team Co-ordinator for caseload and managerial supervision to review caseload outcomes, performance and professional development.

Complete own appraisal with supervisor to identify own goals and objectives.

To undertake any other duties commensurate with the post as directed by the relevant managers and as identified as service priority.

Provide management supervision and appraisals to EMHP’s, lead and coordinate staff in the delivery and evaluation of care.

Undertake the supervision of students on placement within the service and junior staff as agreed with the Team Manager and participate with the induction of new staff.

Leadership

To set professional standards of care and to participate with auditing the effectiveness of services provided.

To support the development and implementation of the 4-week referral to treatment pathway.

To work as a member of the integrated multiple professional team, participating constructively and attending clinical/departmental and team meetings and contributing positively to overall service development. To work integrally with Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and Healthy Minds Lincolnshire (HML) in developing the core offer for children, young people and families.

To develop and maintain joint working arrangements with colleagues from across the health and social care economy to promote the comprehensive delivery of services.

Maintain awareness of current development in Children and Young Peoples practice, best practice, trends, issues and research in mental health, education and related topics in line with the directorate business plan by attending lectures, seminars as identified with Team Co-ordinator.
